Shuffle Along

This Tap musical features a Black cast of incredibly talented Broadway legends and new people as well.  Feature Billy Porter who was previously Lola in “Kinky Boots,” Audra McDonald who need no further explanation she is a Broadway legend, and Brian Stokes Mitchell who is making a return to Broadway.  Brian is an power baritone with a smooth quality.  Savion Glover is the choreographer who is a Tap Master and unbelievable qualified to choreograph a show like this.  This show was made in the 20s so it’s of course set in the 20s.  It hasn’t been revived since 1952 and it’s sure to be amazing.

Awful Title! Shuffle Along! With the state of black society, who came up with this title and why did the rest of you following along? I’m more than disappointed! When given a blessing to impact the world, use this blessing wisely! I can not fully express my hurt and disappointment with you all! Shuffle Along and Wake Up!

      Thank you Lisa Hall,
Shuffle Along is the title of the show most likely a pun on the tap term shuffle and of course racial issues. So yes this show deals with racial issues, but it uplifts Black people. So yes we, Black people, have been given a blessing and we are teaching children how it used to be and to stand up for justice, this is not a bad thing. This is not the down fall of Black people, it actually educates.
